Meet Dr. Shamika Bryson-McAuleyin Raleigh Frayser, TN

Dr. Shamika McAuley is a native of Lamar, Mississippi. Much of her upbringing was spent commuting to neighboring cities for dental and medical treatment. Therefore, it had been her dream to provide dental treatment to those that were experiencing similar oral healthcare disparities. Dentistry encompasses many of the things she is passionate including art, biology, esthetics, interpersonal skills, and caring for patients.

She completed her Associate of Applied Science Degree (Dental Hygiene) in 2012. As a lead dental hygienist, she enjoyed helping each patient enhance their smile and improve self confidence in each follow up dental visit. Afterwards, Dr. McAuley completed her Master of Science Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Biomedical Sciences in 2020. She became an Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors graduate of Meharry Medical College in 2024, while receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Outside of the office, Dr. McAuley enjoys spending time with her spouse, Oran, and her daughter McKenna. She also enjoys park runs, playing tennis, family dinners, and Mississippi State Football!
