Do you have missing teeth that need to be replaced? If so, you have probably been learning about the different tooth replacement methods that are available. If this is the case we are sure that you are already familiar with dental implants. Dental implants are a very popular tooth replacement method because they look, feel, and function just like permanent teeth. You also probably know that it is very important that you have the implant procedure performed by a dentist who is highly skilled and knowledgeable about the procedure. If you are thinking about getting dental implants in Memphis, you can do no better than to come in to our dental practice, Dove Family Dentistry, for treatment and exceptional care.

At our dental practice we have two highly skilled dentists on staff. They are Dr. Joseph Dove, and Dr. Anthony Polk. If you come to see us for dental implants in Memphis, our dentist will first determine whether or not your jawbone is healthy enough for the procedure. Once it is determined that your jawbone is healthy and thick enough to hold the dental implants, our dentist will be able to proceed with the first portion of the dental implant process. The first step in getting dental implants, is to have a titanium implant root surgically inserted for each dental implant that you will be receiving. This procedure is done using local anesthesia. Our patients are able to remain perfectly comfortable during the entire treatment. Once the roots are surgically inserted, there will be a healing period of several months during which time your jawbone will thoroughly heal and the titanium root, or roots, will fuse to the jawbone.

Once our dentist determines that the healing has completed, he will permanently attach a porcelain crown to the top of each dental implant root. At this point your dental implants in Memphis are complete, and you will be able to enjoy all the benefits they have to offer. You will be able to eat anything you want in total comfort. The implants are perfectly secure and will never move or wobble. The dental implants will also be perfectly comfortable to the point that you are not even aware that you have them in your mouth. Your clear speech will never be affected. And, of course, your smile will look simply great. If it is determined that you are not a good candidate for dental implants, you may be able to get a jawbone graft that will then make this procedure possible. There are also other excellent tooth replacement options that we offer at our office.
